Adult Day Services Week Day 5

Day 5: Customer Appreciation Day!
Our customers are very important to us. We planned a special catered lunch for all to enjoy. Played there favorite game BINGO with all different prizes to win. No one went home empty handed. Thank you all for being a part of our program, We would not be here without you.

Baking



1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Mix in the quick oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips. Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Penny Ante


Our clients love playing Penny Ante, it is a fun reminiscing game. We spend the morning playing.

Day 3: Bus Driver appreciation day!
We rely on our bus drivers to drive our clients to and from the Marian Care center each day. We set our a table of appreciation for them with a variety of cookies, donuts, candy and coffee for each of them to enjoy.

Adult Day Service Week! Day 1

Day One Staff Appreciation Day.
Here is a few fun facts about each of our wonderful staff here at Dayaway!
Sharyl has been married to her husband Tom for 20 years, has 2 children Jon and Katie. Her favorite food is her Grandma's chocolate chip cookies. Favorite Quote: "A women should never be without a little black dress in her closet." Sharyl enjoys, reading, take runs/walks, baking and shopping.
Jamie has been married to her husband Michael for 2 years. She has three children, Tristan, Victoria and Gabriel. Her favorite food is cheesy potatoes. Favorite Quote: "Live everyday as if it were your last." Jamie enjoys, canning, gardening, spending time with the kids, going to the races, going to the zoo, and collecting Tigers.
Bonnie has been married to her husband Denny for 8 years. She has three children. Her favorite food is lobster. Her favorite sport is football. Bonnie enjoys camping, surfing the Internet, baking, traveling, and embroidery.
Eveny is married to her husband Francisco, she has one son. Her favorite food is seafood. Favorite Quote: "Everything happens for a reason." Eveny enjoys game night with her family, spending time with her son, and family movie night.
Chris has been married to her husband Bob for 40 years, she has three children. Her favorite food is T-Bone steak. Favorite sport is bowling. Chris enjoys hidden object games.
