Book Club

Outing

Today a small group headed down to Treasure Island Resort and Casino! They all had a great time and for the first time everyone came back with money in hand! Here they are showing there proud winnings!!

Janet

We all learned something new today! That Janet can play the piano. We just recently received this piano as a donation for anyone to play!

House Warming

Today we had a little party for Pat, who is moving into her new apartment here at the Marian Residence on February 1st. She took us all for a tour of her new apartment. It is very cute and cozy. She was very surprised that we did a little party for her with gift and a little snack. We wish you the best of luck Pat!

Pasta Bar

Today was our Culinary Circle that we do once a month. Kathy and Jay from the kictchen did the cooking, the theme was Italian. They did a wonderful pasta bar for all to enjoy. Everyone had a choice of Red or White sauce (which was made from scratch by Jay), penne pasta, wheat noodles, canadian bacon, chicken, and all sorts of yummy veggies saute with a little oil!

These two ladies love to bake! They were busy this afternoon baking some cookies for our afternoon snack!

Puzzle Time!

CCLC

About 60 1st and 2nd graders stopped by this afternoon from Concordia Creative Learning Center to perform a little 20 minutes concert for our clients and residence in our Chapel. Everyone enjoyed seeing the kids singing. After the concert had ended each student have made a door decoration for each and every person that watched there concert, it was very sweet of them to go around and pass them out to everyone, and very special.

Winter Carnival

Every year before the Winter Carnival starts we have the Winter Carnival queen canidates stop by to do a skit and visit with our residence and clients!

Exercise

Every morning after reading the news paper, we get in a group and do a little morning stretch to get ready for the day.

Flippo!

Flippo is a game that our clients enjoy playing. Each person have 6 cards, we call out the cards and if you have to number you flip it over, once all your card are flipped over, you yell "FLIPPO!" The winner gets a quarter!

Penny Ante

Our clients enjoy play a good game of Penny Ante, it is a great chance for all of them to reminiscing with each other about old times. It is fun to sit back and listen to all the fun stories.

Movie Outing

Friday early afternoon a small group headed out to woodbury movie theatre to enjoy some Alvin & the chipmunks "squeakquel"!
