Apple Cake

Apple Cake:
Ingredients:
1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
3 eggs
1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, eggs and apple pie filling. Pour into the prepared pan. Combine the brown sugar, flour, butter, cinnamon and walnuts. Sprinkle over the top of the batter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.

Apple Crisp

A few of our ladies love to bake, we looked around a spotted a big bowl of apple. They made the choice to make some apple crisp for everyone for our afternoon snack.

Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
4 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a 9 inch square baking pan, mix sliced apples with brown sugar. In a large bowl, mix together flour, white sugar, cinnamon and salt. In a small bowl, beat together egg and melted butter. Stir into flour mixture. Spread evenly over apples.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until topping is golden and crisp.
